Tamara Yerofeyeva (Ukrainian: Тамара Єрофєєва, Russian: Тaмара Ерофеева Tamara Erofeeva; born 4 March 1982 in Kiev[1]) was a Rhythmic Gymnast. She was born in Kiev, in the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union - in present day Ukraine.

She won the 2001 world championships because of the disqualifications of Alina Kabaeva and Irina Tchachina.[2] Tamara was number one rhythmic gymnast in Ukraine from 2000–2002.[1]

Career

She placed 6th in the all-around at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.[3]

In 2001, when Tamara was 19, she became a leader of Ukrainian National Team. Tamara was 4 times World Champion,7 times silver medalist of European Championships and placed 6th in the all-around at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.[3]

In 2004 after finishing her Rhythmic Gymnastic career Tamara was employed by world famous Cirque Du Soleil and was working in the show together with Yulia Raskina from 2005 to 2007.[1] Currently Tamara live in Las Vegas and performing in V The Ultimate Variety Show.[1] Married to Stoyan Metchkarov.[1] Tamara and Stoyan have a son named Alexander.[1]
